Trying to Recapture my Youth!!!

As of late I have a had a lot of experiences that have help me find my inner Teenage. One such event was attending the American Idol Tour Concert with my sister and two of our friends, Aaron and Mark. I tell you I was screaming like I was 14 years old. It was completely embarrassing and totally freeing all at the same time. I was a huge AI fan this season and I was excited to hear so many great voices. With the exception of two, they were all incredible. Watching them sing on TV in nothing compared to them live. The one I was most shocked about was Michael Johns. I liked him over the course of the season but man can that kid sing. I was "wow"'d by him. I am a fan!! One experience that made the entire 54.50 worth going was hearing the reaction of the crowd the David Archuleta. Oh my Word. It was unreal. It was so loud-- you almost couldn't hear it and it went on for like 5 mintes. David kept saying, "Please, I have to sing" it was so cute. He was completely charming. I admit I was and still am a Cook fan but hearing that one sing live is an experience to Remember---He is blessed with that voice. He even is starting to look comfortable on the stage.

(This is on his first song, "Imagine" of course-- he came up out of the floor singing-- he was incredible)
Another one of Favorites during the Season was the dreaded Jason Castro. I know many do not share my enthusiam for Jason.....but I love him. Those eyes I tell are killers. He sang "Somewhere over the Rainbow" and I was in Heaven.....

(and here is our American Idol himself, Mr David Cook, otherwise known as Kelly's boyfriend. He looked like a seasoned pro on that stage. He has a long career infront of him. I know his style is for everyone-- but he is a performer and can sell a song. I love him. It was fun to see him perform, even though he injured his knee during the performance)

After the concert was over we overheard that they were coming out in the back of the E Centre to sign autographs. I being the mature adult of the group was ok missing this step but seeing the joy in my sisters face, I couldn't posssibly ask her to miss it so I waited for an hour and a half while they waited for autographs. I felt like a good mom. Here are some cute picture of the autograph session. Kelly did not get David Cook's autograph because he didn't come out because of his knee but the rest were great.....

It was fun for all!!!

Kristen, this is Amber Peck. I was so there and I screamed like I haven't screamed before! I was totally surprised by Michael Johns, as well. He was so good and personality out the wazoo! I'm an Archuleta fan, but the whole thing was A-maze-ing!

Thanks for posting about the concert; letting me relive the thrills once again! Love and hugs!

AMAZING! How come you didn't call me?!! It's ok, I'm a little stuck right now with the nursing babe and all. But Kelly told me all about it, too, and it sounded incredible!

Jealous!!! I have yet to attend one of these. I've been to SYTYCD, but not AI. Maybe this is my year...
