This is how a Perfect World would be (according to me)!!
A friend of mine posted this on her blog and I think it is hilarious. In my world (at least the one in my head) this happens all the time. Everyone should live life in a musical, seriously!!!

My Daughter the Princess!!
This morning we were washing Anna's hair in the tub and all the sudden this conversation started:
"Mother you have to hurry, oh, please hurry!!"
"Why do we need to hurry Anna"
"Mother can't you hear the bell's chimning?
"What bells, I don't hear any bells"
"Mother if you don't hurry the bells will chime ten"
"Well what happens if the bells chime ten?"
"Then the prince will know I am not a true Princess"
"Where are we at Anna?"
"Oh Mother, we are at the ball silly, please hurry, please hurry Mother!"
Okay, now I realize that the creating of this dramatic monster is my own doing, however, I love that she can turn the simple act of washing hair into a dramatic performance. I hope her voice developes with Tracy's talent because if it does, this girl will have a future as a stage actress. She never broke character and was totally convincing she needed to get out of there before the make believe chimes stopped chiming. Love Her!!!!!

Anna Story

Last night, I was drifting off to sleep while watching Law & Order when I heard my Anna come out of her room and into the bathroom (not overly unusual). However, I heard some banging around shortly after so I went in to investigate (that's my Law and Order coming out in me) and what did I find? My still sleeping daughter sitting the the garbage can going to the bathroom. I asked her what she was doing and though her eyes were open she didn't respond and I realized she was sleep walking (well sleep-sitting really). I helped her get up and wipe and she threw the toilet paper in the garbage instead of the toilet so she was really out of it. I helped her to bed and went in to checked and yep, the pee pee was in the garbage can. At least her bum is little enough to actually fit in the garbage can and not the floor. I was laughing so hard. I asked her this morning and she didn't remember anything. So Funny!!!

Shining Moments (or maybe lack there of)
I had rehearsal last night for Beauty and the Beast. Tracy and Hayden went to Mom Barlow's to watch her while dad went to a meeting (she is not doing well). Tracy and I are pretty scared she will not make it to May. She is 95 pounds and not eating anything. She will die of malnutrition before the cancer actually takes her. Anways----I came home about 10:30 and Tracy told me the following story: Ron (tracy's dad) gave Hayden a package of those little crumb donuts when Ron got home for him helping to clean Grandma's house. Tracy told him he couldn't eat them till today because he had already had a treat at Grandma's. When they got home Hayden asked Tracy if he could hide the donuts. Tracy asked if he wanted to hide them to play a game (like hide and seek the donuts?) Hayden told him," No if I don't hide them then Mom will eat them all while I am at school." So...........................not my best and most shining moment. My son is aware of my addictive/complusive eating behavior and is now hiding his food from me. This is a sad, sad day (okay maybe a little funny too, I seriously was laughing my butt off last night).

Conference
I am going to admit something that I am not very proud of. Sometimes I dread General Conference. I am seriously lacking in sooooooo many areas of my life that I just can't handle feeling guilty. But this weekend was just the opposite for me. I was inspired and uplifted (which I believe is what conference is supposed to do right?) I love President Monson. I love anyone who can tell a good story but then he has this wonderful ability to turn it right around and bring the spirit of the message he is reaching for. I am so excited to learn from him and help my children learn to love and revere him. I was laughing so hard during his final address and then 10 seconds later I was crying for his touching comments. I also loved Elder Ballard's talk. When he started my walls went up and my alarm said, " here comes a guilt provoking "Mothering" talk: WARNING, WARNING!!!! (not because he inteneded that way but I have issues) but I again found myself so inspired by what he said. I think he really understands what modern-day mothers are going through. It is sooo different from what mom's faced even 10-15 years ago. (if one more 50-60 mother says to me: "well I handled it" or "I did it when I was a mom" I may scream. They had completely different challenges then we do. They handled them their way but we can't handle them the same way. We can't even send our kids outside to play without worrying whether they will come back. Okay- now I am ranting and I didn't mean too. It was a long weekend for me with lot's of different emotions. But I do love President Monson and look forward to his years for us to follow.
